G42 and Core42 Approved for Advanced Computing Access Under US-UAE AI Framework
G42 and Core42 have been approved to receive advanced computing items under the evolving US-UAE AI framework, marking a major step for trusted AI infrastructure in the UAE.
G42 and its cloud and AI infrastructure company Core42 have reached a significant milestone in the expanding technology partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
The companies have been approved to receive advanced computing items, including high-performance AI chips and servers, under updated United States export-control arrangements.
A major step for UAE AI infrastructure
Access to advanced computing hardware is essential for training large artificial intelligence models, operating high-performance cloud platforms and deploying AI services at scale.
The approval is expected to support G42 and Core42 as they expand secure AI infrastructure across the UAE and deepen their collaboration with leading American technology companies.
Supporting trusted AI deployment
G42 has stated that the deployment of advanced chips will be governed by its Regulated Technology Environment, a compliance and security framework aligned with United States Department of Commerce and Bureau of Industry and Security requirements.
This framework is designed to ensure that sensitive technologies are deployed with strong controls covering governance, cybersecurity and export compliance.
From planning to deployment
The approval could accelerate major projects already being developed within the UAE-US AI corridor.
These include Stargate UAE, a planned one-gigawatt AI computing cluster being built by G42 for OpenAI in partnership with Oracle, Cisco, NVIDIA and SoftBank. The project forms part of the larger five-gigawatt UAE-US AI Campus.
Core42 is also positioned to expand its sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure services, helping governments and enterprises access advanced computing capacity within secure and regulated environments.
Why the announcement matters
The development strengthens the UAE's position as a regional hub for advanced AI infrastructure and demonstrates growing confidence in its technology governance and security standards.
It may also help the UAE attract more AI research, cloud investment, startups and international technology partnerships.
As global demand for advanced computing continues to increase, access to high-performance AI infrastructure will be a major competitive advantage for countries building national AI capabilities.
